Recently I was chosen to be the Director of Photography on a film that someone in my film class is Directing. It’s called, “Twas the Night of the Krumpus.” A fun yet action filled Christmas film about rescuing the president’s daughter from an evil being called the Krumpus. At first I have to admit I was a little nervous and since being picked my mind has been going back and forth on whether I can be able to do this project. But after thinking it through, and the help of some really good friends, I realized that what I wanted more than anything was to please other people. I wasn’t putting faith in my own special talents. Instead of worrying about not being good enough to please other people, I should focus on having fun with this project and see it as an opportunity to hone in on my talents. Who knows, maybe I will be good enough to make an amazing action film. It’s this mindset that’s gets me excited about filming it, and after reading the idea for the story, I feel inspired to give it my all. If you want to know more about this film, here’s the link to an interview with the Director. I recommend checking it out and showing some love because there will be a lot of amazingly talented people working this project.
